Nancy Farghalli
Producer, Marketplace Money
Nancy Farghalli is a radio enthusiast, a trained historian, a sports fan, and a cruciverbalist.
At the age of 8, she wrote this in her My Melody diary, "Today was a great day. The Los Angeles Rams stopped a fourth-and-goal on the goal line to win the game." She can offer no explanation why Los Angeles still lacks a professional football team.
She grew up in Southern California, but was cruelly tricked into liking the Boston Red Sox by a family friend. Her other passion is radio storytelling. She cut her first piece of tape at the NPR affiliate in San Francisco in 2000. Since then, she has helped to cover stories for ABC News in London and other public radio outlets.
Nancy has a Master's degree in Journalism from Columbia and a Master's degree in History from Stanford University, and a B.A. in Human Biology and Political Science from Stanford. She used to review applications for Stanford, and now understands the power of karma.
