As we approach the Summer Olympics in Beijing — and all the advertising that goes with it — MSNBC.com offers a look at “The top 8 Olympic marketing screw-ups.” Among them, “Izzy,” Atlanta’s 1996 Summer Games mascot (at left), and Reebok’s hyping of American decathletes Dan O’Brien and Dave Johnson. (O’Brien failed to qualify for the 1992 Barcelona games, while Johnson took home a bronze medal.)
