For Marketplace Morning Report, Friday, August 27, 2010

An up and down news day. Second-quarter Gross Domestic Product growth was revised downward to 1.6 percent. And China is planning for a bus that can ride above and over cars. Lots of ears were tuned in to hear what Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke had to say as he kicked off a big central bankers’ convention in Wyoming. And these are the other stories we had: Toyota issues another recall, the unmanned vehicle industry looks to grow beyond the military, a New York detective gives his take on his state’s new divorce law, we take a look at New Orleans’ recovery projects, the P-PIP program is making money, and scientists crack wheat’s genetic code. These are the songs we played:

  • The Cave (Joey Altruda Remix)– Culver City Dub CollectiveBuy
  • Magic Bus — The WhoBuy
  • If You Wonder — The Ruling ClassBuy
  • Lovers Who Uncover — The Little OnesBuy
  • Cheeseburger in Paradise — Pickin’ On SeriesBuy
