Google TV gets blocked

Larissa Anderson Oct 22, 2010

When we did our show on Google TV, our guest John Falcone of CNET said this might be an issue. Google said if you get Google TV, you can watch anything you can find online on its service. Now, we see there’ s a little glitch in their plan. So, if you’ve got your new Sony with the Google TV already baked in, (or the Logitech Google TV box), you won’t be able to see Michael Scott make others on “The Office” feel awkward; no new “Hawaii Five-O” for you or Bristol Palin on “Dancing with the Stars.” You can still watch “House” and “Bones” and other Fox shows as well as MTV. But, that might change too. For now, Google TV is what happens when the internet hooks up with your TV – except for the TV part.

There’s a lot happening in the world.  Through it all, Marketplace is here for you.

You rely on Marketplace to break down the world’s events and tell you how it affects you in a fact-based, approachable way. We rely on your financial support to keep making that possible.

Your donation today powers the independent journalism that you rely on. For just $5/month, you can help sustain Marketplace so we can keep reporting on the things that matter to you.
