Build your own iPhone and get rich!

Kai Ryssdal Nov 16, 2010

This final note today, couldn’t leave you without mentioning Apple. Not the whole Beatles thing. I figure real Beatles fans have already ripped CDs to load onto their iPods.

No, I’m talking about this, from the pages of the New York Observer today. Seems a kid in Queens was sick and tired of waiting for a white iPhone 4; they’re not supposed to be officially on sale ’til next spring. So he got in touch with FoxConn, Apple’s supplier over in China; got them to send him iPhone parts directly and now he’s selling ’em at $279 a pop. Says he made $130,000. No word from Apple yet on any of that tricky intellectual property or patent infringement stuff yet.
