“Hack-tivism” has taken over a number of websites today, reportedly in retaliation of companies that have stopped processing donations to Wikileaks. Preventing future attacks could prove to be pricey for businesses. A new film called “The Company Men” starring Ben Affleck will take a look at the struggles behind white-collar layoffs, and Kai spoke to director/producer John Wells about how the movie was influenced by the recession. Continuing our philanthropy series this week, Kai spoke to the nonprofit Water for People, and heard from listeners about how they’re giving this season. We also had stories about the potential impact of the tax cut extension and the value of a brand name. Commentator David Frum also weighed in on the silver rush. Here are the songs we played:

- Get Better John – Mux MoolBuy
- W.F.L. (Think About the Future mix) – Happy MondaysBuy
- The World is on Fire – Elvado
- I Love That Party with the Monkey Kitty – The SpinanesBuy
