Boring headline but a true one: Without Jobs, Apple will be much the same in short term

Today, Apple is reporting what will probably be pretty robust earnings. It’s a big year coming up for Apple, new iPhones, new carrier for iPhone, new iPad, and those are only the rumors we’ve heard about. But I tend to go along with ZDNet here that they’re in pretty good shape in the near term and that Jobs’ absence isn’t going to really hurt them. A lot of the branding and positioning in the market has been pretty well set by now. Long term might be a different story but since we don’t know any details on Jobs’ medical condition, it’s hard to know what’s going to happen.
