Air France flight 447 left Rio May 31, 2009. It was headed for Paris. But, just a few hours after the plane took off, as it was flying over the Atlantic in the middle of some storms, it disappeared – radar couldn’t pick up where the plane went. Nobody really knows what happened. Of the 228 passengers, only 50 bodies have been found. Search teams have only been able to find 3 percent of the weight of the plane. Nobody’s found the black box recorders yet. But on March 18, robots (underwater autonomous vehicles) will dive down and search for the black box recorders and other remains of the wreckage.
