Facebook adds Send button

John Moe Apr 26, 2011

Send is the new Like. Or the companion to Like. Or whatever. So now you’re going to start seeing a little button on articles you see on Facebook. Right next to the Like button is a Send button where you can decide to send that article to friends or post it on their walls. Those Send hits count as Likes in the statistical add-up on Facebook, which is huge currency in quantifying what Facebook is doing. It also encourages sharing which Facebook wants. The Send button (I’m not seeing it on Facebook yet but it’s rolling out presently) will also appear on other websites so you can see an article on Huffington Post and then Send it to your friends.

There’s a lot happening in the world.  Through it all, Marketplace is here for you.
