The latest unemployment numbers were released today, and showed the economy may have some momentum behind it. We looked at how we compare to a year ago. High school graduates still face a difficult job market.

Pakistan’s lobbyists in Washington also face difficulties ahead — scrambling on Capitol Hill to deflect accusations that Islamabad was complicit in giving Osama bin Laden refuge. The Wal-Mart family donates $800 million to an art museum. Lay’s has figured out a way to use less salt in its potato chips, without changing the taste. Tess spoke with Michael Feroli, chief U.S. economist at JP Morgan Chase & Co. in New York, about “squatter’s rent” and its impact on consumer spending. And we had the weekly wrap on Wall Street and small talk with the Dinner Party Download guys. Here are the songs we played:

  • Be Easy – Sharon Jones and the Dap KingsBuy
  • What’s the Crazy – OddiseeBuy
  • Disco China – GoblinBuy
  • Before He Cheats – Carrie UnderwoodBuy
  • Hold On – NicolayBuy
