Need help naming your baby? Social Security is here.

John Moe May 23, 2011

The government agency has compiled popular baby names for the past 130 years and built a baby naming app called Baby Name Playroom. You can sort in a variety of categories to find the perfect bureaucracy-approved name for your little one. There’s also information on how to apply for a social security number for baby (how else will you be able to send it out to get a tiny adorable part time job?), how to apply for disability benefits, safety warnings on toys, infant care, and more.

I tried the random baby name generator on the app and got “Socorro”, which works for a baby, a sports car, an athletic shoe, or an alcoholic beverage.

There’s a lot happening in the world.  Through it all, Marketplace is here for you.
