You may remember last month long-time NBC sports chief Dick Ebersol left the network, which was recently taken over by Comcast. Today, the International Olympic Committee awarded the TV deal to NBC through the 2020 Games, with or without Ebersol.
All it took was a bid of $4.4 billion.
