Is Facebook shrinking?

John Moe Jun 13, 2011

Kind of. The dominant social networking site in the world is seeing growth leveling off and even dipping. It added 11.8 million new users in May and 13.9 in April BUT in the United States, Facebook actually lost millions of users, dropping from 155.2 million to 149.4 million in just the last month. This is based not on Facebook’s own numbers but on data analysis by an outside organization. Looks like there were drops as well in the UK, Canada, Russia, and Norway. Hey Facebook: maybe you shouldn’t be smirking at Myspace’s grim fate just yet.
