Monster.com launches Facebook app

John Moe Jun 27, 2011

Monster, the official jobs site of 2002, is likely responding to the rapidly growing popularity of LinkedIn here
. Monster has always been a traditional job listing site but most people have figured out that the way you actually GET a job is to network, find out what your friends are doing, and get connected that way. So Monster has launched BeKnown as an app on Facebook aimed at young people just entering the job market. The idea is that there are people looking for jobs on Facebook, especially young people who might not have a network of professional friends, and BeKnown wants to help match them up with entry level positions and internships.
