Riots have died down but the online wars in England are heating up

While the UK government is considering whether to shut down Twitter so the people using the service for “ill” won’t have a way to communicate, the police have taken to tweets as a way of outing some of the convicted looters. The Greater Manchester Police are tweeting the names, birthdates and addresses of these rioters. They say they’re doing it “so no-one of the same name can be misidentified as the culprit.”
