Obama might want to get a bootleg copy of this show

Marc Sanchez Aug 25, 2011

What if you were watching, say Anderson Cooper reporting on the military, and he happened to show, I don’t know, a high-ranking official teaching computer hacking techniques. Weird right? But that’s what appears to have happened on a recent broadcast on China Central Television 7. Upon close examination of the computer screens in the story, the hacking techniques don’t look to be too sophisticated, and the footage was probably taken about a decade ago. But still, this is the first possible evidence to surface that directly contradicts China’s official policies on cyberwar, which mostly consists of shrugging shoulders, shocked looks, and incredulous phrases like, “who me?”
It will be interesting to see if the Pentagon responds, given its recent “you mess with us, we’ll fight you” policy on cyberwar.
