For Marketplace Morning Report, Thur., Sept. 1, 2011

The number of people last week, who filed for unemployment benefits for the first time fell by 12,000. But is still above that 400,000 level, which means the job market’s very very sluggish right now. Auto sales numbers are also coming in today, and things aren’t looking great for Japan. Some retailers are doing better than others these days, and that might mean a decline in pop-up stores in the coming months.

And here are the songs we played:

  • Wosoubour (Chris Annibel Remix) – Vieux Farka ToureBuy
  • Ningane – Captain PlanetBuy
  • Dame Agua – Captain PlanetBuy
  • Metropolis (Dodge City Anthem) – NicolayBuy
  • Strapped for Cash – Fountains of WayneBuy
