For Marketplace Morning Report, Fri., Sept. 16, 2011

Today, we got a bit more in-depth explaining exchange-traded funds, which were the downfall of the rogue UBS trader; and what kind of price you need to pay for title insurance on your mortgage. U.S. Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner is in Europe today advising financial leaders there on the best way to avoid Greek default and economic collapse; but the BRICS countries aren’t so worried — it’s all about diversifying. Wal-Mart might be going a bit more solar, and Hollywood is actually aligned with science — sometimes.

And here are the songs we played today:

  • Friday I’m In Love – The CureBuy
  • Broken Levee Blues – DJ ShadowBuy
  • Universal Mind Control – CommonBuy
  • Still Sound – Toro Y MoiBuy
  • Hella Good – No DoubtBuy
