Cheech and Chong ‘get high’ on Fiber One brownies

Mary Dooe Sep 27, 2011

Decades have passed since Cheech & Chong first rolled into our homes and hearts, smoke billowing out of their van.

And now, America is ready to embrace them again — this time via an essential American dietary need: Fiber.

General Mills has produced a series of videos, seen on the Fiber One website, promoting their 90 calorie Fiber One Brownies.

In “Cheech & Chong’s Magic Brownie Adventure,” the dynamic duo set out to deliver a truck full of their goodies to the “Flaming Pole” festival (no relation to any other, similarly named desert festivals, of course).

In case the reference to a slightly-less-than-legal substance wasn’t obvious enough, the campaign is summed up with the line: “Now that you’re getting older, you need a new kind of magic from your brownie.”
