Yeah, about those plans to dump home PCs. Those plans announced in August by HP’s then-CEO Leo Apotheker. Well, he’s gone now, Meg Whitman is in charge, and it might not happen, at least according to the Wall Street Journal. The Journal quotes an unnamed HP executive saying that analysis and discussions are heavy right now at HP over what to do and that suppliers are pushing HP to keep the business operating. I think it’s great that HP would hire someone as an executive who doesn’t even have a name. Must drive the HR department crazy.
