Jeepers, Creepers, where’d you get those pointers

Larissa Anderson Jan 9, 2012
In a few years, we’ll look back at how primitive we are, touching things on computers, swiping with our actual fingers. Because we’ll be able to use our eyeballs! A company called Tobii Technology is showing off its “gaze interaction” system here in Las Vegas. It’s hooked up to Windows 8 and a little rectangle between the screen of a laptop and the keyboard reads your eyes, where they’re looking. The company says it would like to see this technology used in medical settings, allowing doctors to peruse images with their eyes so their hands are free to do other things, like examine a patient. Right now, you can use it to blow up asteroids on the game Asteroids.

There’s a lot happening in the world.  Through it all, Marketplace is here for you.
