Jack Welch quits Fortune, Reuters columnist gigs
And finally, don’t look for Jack Welch’s column in Fortune magazine or Reuters.com anymore. The former General Electric CEO has quit writing for both after they published pieces critical of Welch for insinuating the White House manipulated the monthly
jobs report.
On Friday, Welch suggested on Twitter that the Obama administration — “these Chicago guys,” in his words — had fixed the jobless numbers to make the economy look healthier than it really is. A Forbes contributor yesterday called Jack Welch a “crank” a la Donald Trump.
