Earnings releases delayed due to Hurricane Sandy

Jeff Horwich Oct 30, 2012

Trading in U.S. stocks is suspended for a second straight day. The floor of the New York Stock exchange is reportedly undamaged, and officials are testing out their electronic trading infrastructure. The last day of the month is typically a heavy day for trading, and financial officials would like to be up and running tomorrow if possible. Dozens of companies have decided to postpone their quarterly earnings releases: Avon, Ralph Lauren and Martha Stewart have all decided to wait out the storm.
