We reported on a big health care story last week when the government released a database of prices for 100 of the most-common medical procedures at every hospital in the country. The data is intended to allow people to shop around for the best price on health care. On our weekend Money program, we even collected some tips for shopping around and negotiating medical care costs.
The story prompted one of our listeners to download the raw data from the government and turn it into a searchable, interactive map that allows users to look up and compare prices by location and procedure. Thanks Ben Sullins!
