The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the economy added 162,000 jobs last month, falling below analyst expecations. The unemployment rate fell to 7.4 percent, its lowest level since December 2008.

Hourly wages were down slightly in July, but are up overall for the year. Many Americans continue to work part-time, and the latest numbers show their average work week took a hit, down to 34.4 hours.

In Largo, Florida, 48-year-old Lisa Darcy has a lot of experience doing the part-time shuffle. Unable to find a full-time position, Darcy works two part-time jobs and is trying to add a third to the mix. She joins Marketplace Morning Report host David Brancaccio to share her experience.
