Massive Open Online Courses — or MOOCs, as they are commonly referred to — enable students from different locations to tune into lectures online as part of the learning process. An increasing amount of universities are offering these courses, but debate around their effectiveness remains. Now a new iteration of this concept is emerging — SPOCs, Small Private Online Courses.
