You can take a frozen turkey through airport security
This might be of interest to all you thanksgiving travelers this week. The TSA has provided some helpful reminders of what can and cannot go through airport security for the holidays, as detailed in Eater magazine.
Can’t part with that prized frozen turkey you specially picked out? Don’t worry — you can put it in your checked or carry-on luggage. Make sure that the ice packs keeping it cold don’t melt too much — liquids have a strict 3.4 ounce limit. This applies to mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce too.
All liquids must be in a tightly sealed, transparent, Ziploc bag … you get the drift.
Oh, and make sure you buy your tickets early for the rest of holiday season!
