You’d think all eyes would be on turkey this week, but chicken is stealing some headlines. A price index that grocery stores use when buying chicken from processors is under scrutiny. Each week the Georgia Department of Agriculture puts out a bulletin dubbed the “Georgia Dock,” which reflects pricing information the agency gathers from chicken processors in the state. But questions are mounting about the quality of that pricing information.
