SHORT BIO
As a copy editor at Marketplace, Ed makes sure our stories and newsletters are as accurate, readable and engaging as possible. He started as an editor and writer in the 1980s and his past employers and clients include Esquire, ASCAP, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, UCLA, the McKinsey Global Institute and the Milken Institute.
Ed helped inflate the first tech bubble as an investment columnist at the LAT and an analyst at a tech-focused investment bank. At the LAT, he shared two Pulitzer Prizes for team reporting, received a national award for his headlines and published an op-ed about the global environmental technology marketplace. Later, he was senior editor and head of publishing at the Milken Institute. Ed considers himself lucky for having so much fun in his career.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend and friends, getting outdoors, discovering great music and keeping up with ideas about where the world is going.
