SHORT BIO
Zoneil Maharaj is the director of social and engagement at Marketplace. He joined Marketplace in 2023 to help strengthen our connections with our audience.
A former reporter and editor, Zoneil previously served as the social media editor at Pop-Up Magazine Productions, which produced touring live magazine “Pop-Up Magazine” and its longform print companion The California Sunday. He also served as the digital director at weekly lifestyle magazine Vegas Seven and as an editor for community news platform Patch.com in the Bay Area. His work has appeared in Desert Companion, Wildsam, The Guardian, ABC News and Las Vegas Weekly, among others.
Born in Fiji and raised in Stockton, California, Zoneil studied journalism in San Francisco and worked in the Bay Area before moving to Las Vegas, where he currently resides with his wife, son, and dog. They do not live in a casino.
