In the peaks and valleys of electric vehicle sales, we seem to be in a bit of a valley. Sales of new EVs this year have grown, but that growth has been at a slower pace than the year before. And Marketplace’s Meghan McCarty Carino may be part of the trend. To stay on the farm, more and more farmers are working extra jobs

Roughly 85% of farm families rely on another part-time or full-time job to stay in business, according to the USDA.

It's been a difficult year for Michigan cherries. Heavy spring rain destroyed much of the crop, prompting the governor of Michigan to call for federal relief for cherry growers.
