SHORT BIO

Marissa Cabrera joined Marketplace in September 2020. She is currently the senior producer of “Make Me Smart” and “Million Bazillion.” She has also contributed to Marketplace podcasts, “How We Survive” and “This is Uncomfortable.” Before joining Marketplace, she spent a decade reporting and producing for KPBS, the NPR member station in San Diego. She’s a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalists and a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
