SHORT BIO
Sophia Paliza-Carre is a producer with Marketplace’s podcast department, working on the climate solutions podcast “How We Survive” and other long-form projects.
She fell in love with audio at her college's storytelling project and then jumped headfirst into the world of public radio. She's written, reported and edited for outlets like WNYC, The Moth, Latino USA and Futuro Studios. Most recently, she was a senior producer and editor at LAist Studios. Her focus is on history, culture and identity.
Sophia is a midwesterner with French and Peruvian roots, who is now based in Los Angeles. She is a graduate of Stanford University, with a bachelor’s degree in history.
