Dockworkers from Maine to Texas are now on strike

Dockworkers, represented by the International Longshoremen’s Association, are now on strike. They reportedly are demanding a 77% raise over six years and want to keep their jobs of loading and unloading ships from being automated. We’ll hear the latest.

CVS — which has gone from a pharmacy chain, to pharmacies plus health insurer, drug benefits manager and an operator of clinics — is considering breaking itself up, according to multiple published reports this morning. The news comes as the company has struggled, in particular with its Medicare Advantage business.

Despite ongoing economic and geopolitical tensions, the U.S. and China get together every few months for talks about the mechanics of their economic relationship.
